jnedbalek 1 Posted May 9, 2019 Posted May 9, 2019 so first off I've had a great experience with the collections feature and it's done a great job. However for some odd reason, it keeps creating multiple collections of the same movies. I have the Father of the Bride series (both the 50s version and the 90s version) so four movies total. Whenever I open collections, I'll have up to 40 collections of those four. I delete all but one... and then the next time it scans they're all back. It's only these movies so I feel there's a bug in there somewhere causing, whether with the name or the file but just not sure what. Everything else works great with no issues, it's just these four that are doing it
Luke 42086 Posted May 9, 2019 Posted May 9, 2019 Hi, are you saying it adds that new collection again on every library scan?
jnedbalek 1 Posted May 9, 2019 Author Posted May 9, 2019 pretty much. everything else stays the same, but for some reason those keep multiplying. not sure if it's every scan, but that would make sense as there's been up to 80 of them on there and then just earlier there were 42. it's always those four
Happy2Play 9785 Posted May 10, 2019 Posted May 10, 2019 @@Happy2Play have you seen this occur? No @@jnedbalek Have you tried removing those movies from the library, perform a couple library scans, ensure the movies and collections are removed from the library, then re-add the media to see if the same thing happens?
jnedbalek 1 Posted May 12, 2019 Author Posted May 12, 2019 No @@jnedbalek Have you tried removing those movies from the library, perform a couple library scans, ensure the movies and collections are removed from the library, then re-add the media to see if the same thing happens? Yes. I even renamed the files, moved them out completely, scanned and made sure they were gone, then put them back but into a different movie folder and it started doing it again. I also checked to make sure that I only had one copy of each in the library as well
jnedbalek 1 Posted May 13, 2019 Author Posted May 13, 2019 Do you have the AutoBoxSets plugin installed? Yes. And it works great for everything else. But for some reason it’s that set that it keeps doing it with. It’s not the worse thing ever and I can just keep doing what I’ve been doing but it’s just odd that that one keeps doing it
Luke 42086 Posted May 14, 2019 Posted May 14, 2019 Does the MovieDb id of the boxset match the Tmdb Collection Id value for the movies within the boxset?
jnedbalek 1 Posted May 14, 2019 Author Posted May 14, 2019 (edited) This is what it looks like (for one of them). Are the numbers in there supposed to match? All of the ones for the collection are the same. Or I take that back. The originals (from the 1950s) share one ID for collection and the remakes share an ID. I'm guessing that's the issue? It doesn't matter to me if all four are together or if it's two different collections. I'd just rather not have 40+ collections Just went in and looked, on the website they're separated into the two collections and their numbers correspond. Other than that I have no idea.
