nmkaufman 50 Posted May 9, 2019 Posted May 9, 2019 (edited) I noticed a possible bug where all 6 self-titled weezer albums display the same cover art. The correct cover art is embedded in all of my music, but maybe a problem with the albums having the same name? I can't think of another example of multiple albums with the same name, or I'd check. nmkaufman 50 Posted May 9, 2019 Author Posted May 9, 2019 Stone temple pilots have two albums called Stone Temple Pilots and it did the same thing.
nmkaufman 50 Posted May 9, 2019 Author Posted May 9, 2019 I'm going to strip the art back out of the tags and save it as folder.xxx files, which works fine.
laie_techie 16 Posted May 9, 2019 Posted May 9, 2019 Have you thought to include the cover color in the name of the album (white, green, etc)?
nmkaufman 50 Posted May 9, 2019 Author Posted May 9, 2019 I worked around that problem by adding the year to all album folders. I think the album art scraper may use a cache that uses only artist and album name, so it only scrapes the first album with the same name. It's not a problem if you have folder.xxx or album.xxx art inside the folder. The more I thought about it, there's more hassle than benefit embedding the art anyways. It inflated my music library a few GB, too.

Hi, yes you are exactly right about this. I'll have to look at what other criteria we might be able to cache on. Thanks.
