Sammy 790 Posted May 8, 2019 Posted May 8, 2019 Lately I've been experiencing a log of crashes that require a restart even after ending the embytray process (Usually Emby Server Process is already terminated). This has been happening a bit too much lately. My Server was solid and stable up until the latest releases. Here's some logs: Server Log 20190508a.txt Server Log 20190508b.txt Server Log 20190508c.txt Transcode Log 20190508.txt
Sammy 790 Posted May 8, 2019 Author Posted May 8, 2019 Been 10 hours and no responses and no downloads of my logs? Haven't heard much from @@ebr or @@Luke all day. Hopefully they're fine tuning the DVR but can you take a look when you get the chance? TIA

This is yours, no? CoverArt 4.0.99.0 I can take these out without too much pain but when are the theme plugins going to be better supported? Sammy 790 Posted May 13, 2019 Author Posted May 13, 2019 @@Luke I'm noticing several Emby Trays a lot of the time and corresponding to when the server becomes unresponsive. I've attached a new log and several screen grabs. This doesn't seem to be related to plugins at all. Server Log 20190513.txt
Luke 42078 Posted May 13, 2019 Posted May 13, 2019 because either the server process is crashing or you're killing it from the task manager. when you do this, that will leave the tray because the tray gets it's own separate process.
Sammy 790 Posted May 13, 2019 Author Posted May 13, 2019 I haven't been killing the server so the extra trays must be due to the server crashing and trying to restart. When this happens my Emby Clients cannot connect until I restart the machine that the Emby Server is running on.

Sammy 790 Posted May 14, 2019 Author Posted May 14, 2019 I saw another thread where changing CoverArt settings reduced CPU usage. I actually have the same Devils Canyon Haswell as the poster in that thread. Related? I'm reluctant to remove all these plugins but may start with just CoverArt and go from there. I wonder if these crashes are occurring when Emby goes up (I've seen it at 20 to 30 percent) at the same time MCEBuddy is up using ComSkip and / or HandBrake? How to check? TIA Sent from my SM-G960U1 using Tapatalk
Sammy 790 Posted May 22, 2019 Author Posted May 22, 2019 (edited) This has now become an issue with WAF as she's saying, "I'm not using Emby right now. It won't play anything." I just had the issue this morning myself (have before but first time I have time to post..) At any rate, I have to reboot my HTPC to recover as stopping the embeserver and embytray processes do not allow the server to reload. I know, remove some plugins but maybe we can do them one at a time? Which would be first? Sammy 790 Posted May 22, 2019 Author Posted May 22, 2019 BTW, I re-uploaded the server log as I noticed it had my public IP address out there in plain sight. I purged it and next time I post a log I'll purge it again but @@Luke , can this be something that is not exposed in the server logs?
Sammy 790 Posted June 19, 2019 Author Posted June 19, 2019 (edited) I have finally gone to the extreme of having the Emby Plugin in Vera monitor Emby's Status and send me a text when it crashes. I set this up about 12 hours ago and have had two crashes since. Fortunately I can log into my Emby Server from my phone and kill the processes then restart the server when remote but this is a PITA! The beta server doesn't exhibit this issue but I don't have as many users or Plugins I suppose.. Here's the latest logs taken right after the crash last night. There was not a Transcode Log BTW.
