Do m3u lists have a channel limit?

OK I have 150 channels in one single m3u list. I tested an m3u file with only one channel and found the stream to be amazing. It had buffered more than I ever saw before. I then proceeded to loading all 150 channels plus two guides cause I have France channels and the guide provides by emby does not offer French guides. The iptv stream became unreliable and keeps kicking me out. This made me think : is there a limit to an efficient M3u list? Should I break them up into smaller ones? Should I not have two different guide providers reading the same m3u? Any advise would be appreciated.

Nope, I have c500 in my m3u. I have another install that just had the provider m3u as delivered by them so roughly 8k channels
