mb3 shows number of files in folder but does not display the files

as the title says in some folders it shows that there are a number of files in the folder but does not show the files or even the names of the files, so i cannot play them, have done several scans, the files in question are xvid avi files.

Did you use UNC paths to setup your media collection as explained here

UNC does not apply here, the drives with the media files are in the same machine as the mb3 server

UNC folder shares are still the recommended way to setup your media,the clients will communicate with the server much better in the long run.

Yes it does, but setting them up that way from the get-go means all clients and all devices will work best.  Even ones you may start using in the future but aren't now.

Looks like a library structure problem.  Your items are not being recognized properly.  Be sure you have followed one of the supported structures and naming conventions for your items and that you defined the media folder with the proper type.
