External drive media not found - solution

I was struggling with adding media from one specific external drive.

 

I was going in circles adding and re-adding the library to no avail.

 

Turns out that Emby doesn't handle nested folders which is well known, but the interaction seems to be an issue across Libraries.

 

I had:

 

Movies Library

E:\movies

 

Miscellaneous Library

E:\

 

Only until I removed the miscellaneous library did the Movies Library pick up the files on that drive.

Hi, yes currently you cannot add the same folder to multiple libraries. It's something we'd like to accommodate in the future, but we're not quite there yet. thanks.
