Embyjunky 2 Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 All, I need some helps trying to fix a issue with the server keep disconnecting. Fresh Windows 10 Ver. 1903 Latest Emby Server version Client = Nvidia Shield/Kodi Symptom: Emby started fine but after a few minutes, it will disconnect. Emby Tray Icon is still showing but if I tried to launch it from there, I get localhost:8096 not found I can EXIT Emby Tray Icon and launch it again but the same cycle continues. I tried to review the logs but I am no expert by any means. I have a feeling it might have something with the firewall/port setting but I can't say for sure. Thanks for your supports. Happy2Play 9785 Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 (edited) Does this still happen if you removed the CoverArt plugin? Edited May 4, 2019 by Happy2Play
Luke 42086 Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 Hi, yes that would be a useful thing to try, thanks.
Embyjunky 2 Posted May 4, 2019 Author Posted May 4, 2019 i have not tried but can you explain the reason behind CoverArt? Is there a bug currently? Thanks
Embyjunky 2 Posted May 4, 2019 Author Posted May 4, 2019 Well that was worth a try but the Emby server still disconnected after I uninstalled and restart Emby. Any more ideas?
Luke 42086 Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 Would you mind attaching a new server log without cover art? Thanks !
Embyjunky 2 Posted May 4, 2019 Author Posted May 4, 2019 In my frustration, I uninstalled all the plugins except Kodi Companion and now Emby Server seems to work correctly. I am not sure which plug in causes Emby to disconnect. The weird part I did not install all of these plugins myself except Kodi Companion, Auto Box Sets and CoverArt. I hope you can help figuring it out. Thanks. Would you mind attaching a new server log without cover art? Thanks ! Note: I attached both before and after removed plugins logs. Log After the FIX.txt Log before the FIX.txt
Happy2Play 9785 Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 Most component are becoming plugins, so as they are removed from the server core they are move to a plugin. Most of this plugins are your metadata providers so removing them will stop Emby from getting any metadata or image for your media. Auto Box Sets 1.2.2.0 Cinema Mode 1.0.14.0 Dlna 1.0.13.0 Fanart.tv 1.0.2.0 Kodi companion 2.0.9.0 MovieDb 1.0.8.0 MusicBrainz 1.0.5.0 Nfo Metadata 1.0.11.0 OMDb 1.0.5.0 Open Subtitles 1.0.15.0 Port Mapper 1.0.1.0 Studio Images 1.0.0.0 TheAudioDb 1.0.4.0 TheTVDB 1.0.7.0 So yes you can remove them all if you don't require Emby to get metadata and images. I would only remove the plugins you know you do not need/use.
Embyjunky 2 Posted May 4, 2019 Author Posted May 4, 2019 I'll take that back. Emby server went kaput on me again. Uninstall my last plugin (Kodi Companion) Attached last log Last Log.txt
Luke 42086 Posted May 5, 2019 Posted May 5, 2019 Hi there, can you try removing that last plugin and see if that helps? thanks !
