EvilChani 0 Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 Just switched from Plex to Emby and am having some issues with metadata for movies. Metadata for TV shows is downloading correctly (mostly, though I still can't get it to recognize The Flash as anything but the old show), but it downloads nothing for movies. I have rescanned the library numerous times, changed settings for metadata for the movie library, deleted /var/lib/emby-server/cache/omdb as found in another thread, and rebooted the server. Still no luck. When I check the metadata, there's nothing there--it isn't getting ID numbers from any of the servers. Checked the log and am getting constant messages about cancellation tokens. Any help would be much appreciated.
Luke 42078 Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 Hi there, can you please go over an example? How did you setup the movies library in emby?
EvilChani 0 Posted May 4, 2019 Author Posted May 4, 2019 I've attached a screenshot of how the movies show up in the library from the web interface (and from my Roku Emby app). At best, I get a colored background with the movie name, but the metadata is still not downloaded. I attached another with the settings for the library. The naming convention I use is "Movie Name (year).mp4" and is the same naming convention I used for Plex, so I didn't think that could be a problem, given that it had been downloading the metadata without any problem. Let me know if you need more info from the library and/or server. Thanks!
EvilChani 0 Posted May 4, 2019 Author Posted May 4, 2019 I actually got it fixed. Docker hadn't been updated in a long time. Once I updated it, it downloaded everything like it was supposed to. Thanks for your help, though! :-)
EvilChani 0 Posted May 4, 2019 Author Posted May 4, 2019 The server version is CentOS 7 and was up to date, and had the version of embyserver that's on github. Docker hadn't been updated, though. Not sure why that was causing connection errors for OMDB, but after updating it and rebooting, all of the metadata came down with no trouble.
EvilChani 0 Posted May 5, 2019 Author Posted May 5, 2019 No problem. Just an FYI, it also fixed the mismatch for The Flash in the TV library, in case anyone still runs into that problem.
