Stupid Question about removable drives connected to Emby

HI;    I have a dumb question. I currently have 3 (4TB) drives hooked to a system that Emby scans automatically for updates / additions.  i'd like to add a USB3 drive to the mix but i'd like to scan that particular drive manually for changes.  This external drive has a ton of "throwaway" movies (watch once and probably delete) and as such i'd only like to connect it when i'm in the mode for something i haven't seen. I don't want to leave it attached and powered up 24/7.  The problem is, if i add the contents to a new movie category ("New Stuff") and then scan to build the library for "New Stuff", and then two days later remove the drive for a period of time, i believe Emby will see the movies as missing and automatically remove them from the database forcing a rescan when the drive is again attached (when i used to use Plex it did that).   I like the convenience of being able to add a "keeper" movie to my main drives and have it show up 10 minutes later automatically.  Is there a way to set the auto scan for specific drives or exclude a drive or set of drives ?   Thanks

It's not a dumb question at all - Emby does support 'offline media' in the use of Media Stubs but there is no way to 'offline' an entire disk/directory/library which I think is a shame as I too wanted this functionality for very infrequently watched media that is stored on a USB HDD, but wanted it's contents to remain indexed within Emby during searches and the like.

Inherently no, You define your drives in the Library setup so whichever drives you define per each library then those will be the drives that will be scanned. As for scanning for manually changes only, not exactly sure what you mean by that but Emby will not ignore compatible media files on the defined drives/directory that are present at the time of the scan
