negativzeroe 80 Posted May 2, 2019 Posted May 2, 2019 (edited) I have all my media folders set to 775 mask for any media I add, but when I download subs (via the opensub plugin) they are 644, can I set them to 775 somewhere? If so I'm not seeing it. Running Debian 9 btw. Edited May 2, 2019 by negativzeroe
Luke 42077 Posted May 2, 2019 Posted May 2, 2019 We don't have any options for this but it should be saving files based on the permissions of the user the server is running under, which is the emby user. Does this help?
mastrmind11 722 Posted May 2, 2019 Posted May 2, 2019 set the gid bit at the folder level and it'll cange the permission of any file added to the folder to match the permission set on the parent folder. google setgid
negativzeroe 80 Posted May 2, 2019 Author Posted May 2, 2019 Yeah it downloads as intended I was just wondering if I was missing something. I'll probably just set a crontab to run because I have a group called admins that have my user, root and emby in it so if another container were to use the file, it could read and modify, like removing some of those 'encoded by l337h@x0R' in the subs lol.
