Emby playback / transcode issue

Hi.

 

I am having issues when direct streaming, aswell with transcoding.

My operating system is Windows 10 Pro, but issues happen on Windows 7 and Ubuntu 18.04-18.10 aswell.

 

When I play a 4K movie, it keeps on stuttering every 10 seconds or so.

I cannot get playback to function properly.

 

I make use of a Samsung ue49nu7100 with latest software for playback.

Playback sometimes stutters while using 1080p direct stream or transcode aswell.

 

Every Connection between cliënt and server is wired with cat6 cables and gigabit router TP-Link AC2300.

 

Specs of server:

 

Os: Windows 10 Pro latest updates

I5-8400 6 core (11k passmark)

16GB ram DDR4 2400

1TB HDD for os

3x USB3.0 8TB HDD WEstern Digital

Intel HD Graphics 620 with 4K transcoding capability and newest drivers.

Nvidia GTX 1050 with 4K transcoding capabilitys.

 

I activated all hw accelaration in emby using Emby Première..

 

Still, many files are not properly transcoded.

Even with fps around 38 or 64, and transcode buffer being somewhere around 1 minute up to 30 minutes,

It keeps buffering!!!

 

How to solve this?
