Folder sync outside of my network

Hi,

 

I wanted to ask if the folder sync plugin also works to a device, that's outside of my network.

 

This is how the setup looks like:

 

I'm running Emby server running on my openmediavault NAS and want to sync a few folders to a device that is outside of my network. This device is runnung linux AntiX. Does the other device also need to run an instance of Emby server or is the client enough?

Hi, it has to be a folder that emby server can access and copy files to, regardless of where it is located. Does that answer your question?
