Shinobi82 0 Posted April 29, 2019 Posted April 29, 2019 Hi, I just installed Emby on my Xiaomi Mi A2 lite with Android 9 and the app keeps flashing right from the start, before I see any sign in or anything. Once the server is loaded up and I try to scroll, it's the same thing. Right now that makes it completely unusable. I hope there is a fix for that. Thanks!
Luke 42077 Posted April 29, 2019 Posted April 29, 2019 Hi, where exactly does it flash, when browsing the app, or when playing video?
Shinobi82 0 Posted April 29, 2019 Author Posted April 29, 2019 It flashes all the time. Even when it's just loading the startup screen (circle animation)
Luke 42077 Posted April 29, 2019 Posted April 29, 2019 That's strange. I haven't heard of this before. I'll look into what might be causing that. Thanks.
FalconX 1 Posted November 19, 2019 Posted November 19, 2019 (edited) I have the exact same smartphone and I'm also on Android 9 (not Stock Rom,Ressurection Remix). Installed is emby for android from 24.10.2019 At least when the playback of a video is started the App is not flashing, but for everything else, the App hardly can't be used. Hope this can be fixed. Update:this can be temporarily fixed by clicking on "disable hw overlays" in System / Developer options, nevertheless after a reboot of the phone the configuration is gone and you have to set it again Edited November 19, 2019 by FalconX
Luke 42077 Posted November 21, 2019 Posted November 21, 2019 Ok, we'll try and chase down the cause of this. Thanks.
Luke 42077 Posted November 21, 2019 Posted November 21, 2019 Can you try this version and let me know if it's any different: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/79526-android-mobile-3088/ Thanks.
Luke 42077 Posted November 21, 2019 Posted November 21, 2019 Do you by any chance know if this happens with the stock ROM?
FalconX 1 Posted November 21, 2019 Posted November 21, 2019 I don't know, I don't have Stock Rom on my phone. Jellyfin App doesn't have this fault BTW.
