macv 2 Posted April 29, 2019 Posted April 29, 2019 Wondering if that's in the plans. Like when browsing "Cast & Crew" or videos. For either mouse wheels that can lean left/right or that have a dedicated horizontal scroll wheel like the Logi MX Master series.

Strange - I use a cheap wireless mouse and if I push the scroll wheel to the side, it scrolls sidewards on Theatre on videos and in seasons view for example...
Luke 42081 Posted April 29, 2019 Posted April 29, 2019 Wondering if that's in the plans. Like when browsing "Cast & Crew" or videos. Hi, yes I agree that would make sense. thanks.
neik 873 Posted May 3, 2019 Posted May 3, 2019 Following up on this: I use Chrome to browse and always want to scroll the horizontal lines with the two-fingers-gesture but unfortunately that doesn't work. Is this a browser issue or isn't it simply not implemented yet?
neik 873 Posted May 3, 2019 Posted May 3, 2019 Swipping with two fingers on the touchpad, just like going one page back in Chrome or going one picture forward/backward in Windows Photo.
Luke 42081 Posted May 5, 2019 Posted May 5, 2019 Not entirely. I'm able to swipe horizontally using my fingers in the web app.
neik 873 Posted May 5, 2019 Posted May 5, 2019 Strange... On my Matebook X Pro with a precision touchpad it doesn't work, only using the touchscreen scrolls horizontally. Just tried it with Edge and there it didn't work as well.
macv 2 Posted June 3, 2019 Author Posted June 3, 2019 Just curious if there's a ticket we can follow? @@neik I'm pretty sure he was referring to swiping in that area on a touchscreen Windows laptop, on the screen and not on the touchpad. I can also scroll left/right on the touchscreen. But I use an external monitor most of the time that's not touchscreen, and would be neat if I can horzontally-scroll with the mouse.
neik 873 Posted June 5, 2019 Posted June 5, 2019 @@Luke, regarding this I just asked a cousin of mine with a Macbook 12" 2017 and there it doesn't work as well on the latest safari. @@macv, swipping using the touchscreen works fine on my notebook but using the touchpad still does not work.
macv 2 Posted June 6, 2019 Author Posted June 6, 2019 Yes you guys have been mixing up touchscreen and mouse/touchpad. Works using touchscreens, not on mice/touchpads.
Luke 42081 Posted June 8, 2019 Posted June 8, 2019 The issue is the non-standard horizontal scroll technique we are using in desktop layouts. This is something that should change later once we have virtual scrolling and there are already tickets and forum topics about that. 1

Just tried it with Edge and there it didn't work as well. Just noticed, this got fixed with the latest stable 4.2.0.40. Thanks!
