Safari-specific problem with transcoded video

I'm having a strange problem playing videos in Safari (Version 12.1):

 

If a video requires any sort of conversion, whether Direct Stream or Transcode, fast-forwarding to a spot beyond the transcode buffer breaks playback - dashboard tells me the video's playing (the playback position keeps advancing) but the browser shows a still image indefinitely.

 

If the file's played from the beginning or FF'd within the transcode buffer it plays properly.

 

I tested in Firefox and Chrome and neither has this problem.
I have no Safari extensions enabled.

 

Anyone else having this problem?

This started happening with Safari 12.1. We'll be getting a 4.1.1 server update out to resolve it. Thanks for the feedback.

Not only did v4.1.1.0 fix this but it looks like mkv (which always required at least direct stream conversion) now direct play with no conversion! Thanks!
