I now have 1TB SSD and 24TB HDD (including my recent backups drive) that will now be dissected for their magnets (modular power supply connectors are not standarized!!! )

sualfred 677 Posted May 2, 2019 Posted May 2, 2019 (edited) The only connectors that are standardized are the ones on the hardware itself. 4+4 pin on the mobo, the 20/24 atx, sata, molex, sata, ect Everything else is up the PSU manufactures and how they designed their hardware (single rail, multi rail, cable lenght, the maximum power consumption by port, ect). Lesson learnt, data and hardware gone But just keep in mind -> you can also kill a PSU and hardware by using a multiple socket with toggle switch to "save energy".
