amarty 0 Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 Hey guys, So some background: Been using Emby on my Synology NAS DS1513+ for a while now (close to a year or so) Earlier builds of the Emby server organized my movies and specifically my tv shows properly and I loved every bit of it. With the update to 4.1.0.26 it's now going a little crazy with my tv shows folder. For example, huge Dragonball Z fan and they are organized by tv series (dragonball, dragon ball z, dragonball gt, etc.) Since 4.1.0.26 - it basically took out each season within the folders and made them it's own show instead of leaving them inside their respected chapters ?(dragonball, dragon ball z, etc.) No settings have been changed and I've been trying to figure it out with no luck so I figured I'd reach out to you guys to see if anyone could help or if anyone has experienced this since the latest update. Thanks in advance for the help!
samuelqwe 317 Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 I have both Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z in my library, and I have not personally seen this issue on 4.1.0.26. My server runs on Windows, so it could be something that only affects the Synology NAS, or simply a naming convention that Emby now recognizes differently in the latest version.
Happy2Play 9781 Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 What is the exact folder structure? But this sounds like all the other topics and is related to the changes to "Improve series folder detection".
Luke 42080 Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 Hi, yes, can you please go over an example? Thanks !
Arius 0 Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 I have the same Problem since patch 4.1.0.26. TV Shows are totally messed up.
amarty 0 Posted April 25, 2019 Author Posted April 25, 2019 (edited) Hi, yes, can you please go over an example? Thanks ! Hey Luke, Sure! So within the dragonball, dragonball z folders they had chapters (chapter 1, chapter 2, etc.) and within those were the shows for each chapter. Ever since the new update its pulled the chapters out all together and displays them as if they are their own tv show on the main screen. I did another test last night when downloading Chicago Fire for the wife. Inside of the chicago fire folder there are season 1, season 2, season 3 and season 4 folders and within those are shows. Can you guess what Emby did? Lol it pulled out each season just like the dragonball ones. It seems to be only effecting those though and it seems to be affecting any new one i download and put into emby . edit: actually it didn't do it for chicago fire - it organized it perfectly like the others. so it seems to be just the dragonball ones. I have no idea why it's doing this lol. Edited April 25, 2019 by amarty

You would have to show exact folder structure, but is sounds like the rest of the topics about custom season folders as Emby has never technically supported chapter x folders. The "Improve series folder detection" brings all of these non-standard structures to light. https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/72642-question-about-custom-season-names/

Luke 42080 Posted May 24, 2019 Posted May 24, 2019 I have another Problem. My TV wont play Emby with DLNA if I dont restart. Same Problem as in Jellyfish: https://www.reddit.com/r/jellyfin/comments/asmkfj/dlna_not_working/ What version of Emby Server?
Arius 0 Posted May 24, 2019 Posted May 24, 2019 (edited) Emby Version 4.1.1.0On my LG 55b6d DLNA works normal but on my LG 65b7d it doesn't But the most annoying thing is that 4K Movies are sometimes stuttering. (1-4seconds for every 1-3minutes) with the Emby LG App von my 65B7D. My Network connection is 1gbps and the movies are around 60-90mbpsMy server is a Windows 10 computer with a I7x 7820x, 1080 Ti and 16gb 3200mhz ram) I had the stutter ever since I use emby with 4K movies. Its not patch specifically i have to say.Not all 4k movies are stuttering but some 4K videos do...For example "The Mule" with 61.115mbps was stuttering Audio is dolby digital 5.1 with 640kbps and subtitles are OFF of course. they would make my computer transcode and lag with 4k (i guess because my hard drive is too slow then) Edited May 24, 2019 by Arius
Happy2Play 9781 Posted May 24, 2019 Posted May 24, 2019 Can you post the server and ffmpeg logs. Have you tried lower the "140000000" max bitrate? As transcoding h265 to h264 can hit that high since the bitrate is almost doubled or maxes out at the bitrate limit. So your 60-90mbps when transcoded become 120-180mbps but should top out as set max bitrate.
