4.1.0.26 - thumbails scheduled task "taking" time wrong

Hi,

 

The thumbnails extraction has been running for almost 2 days and just finished (rebuild entire library...) and it worked great. I did notice that the report time it took was only 38 minutes, so I'm not sure what it is referencing, but seems to be a bug.

That was probably just a different execution than the one that took 2 days.

Maybe. I only ran it once (2 days ago) and the scheduled task is to run at 2am. So not sure why it would have even started just 38 minutes ago (like 11am) if nothing told it to.

 

I’ll keep an eye on it and see next time I add a bunch of media.

The tasks actually get queued so if you run a task and there is a scheduled task during that time it will run after the current task is done, even if it is the same task.

Ah, that would be the answer. I had definitely done a library scan or a guide scan during that time, so that makes sense that the thumbnail task pauses and the time would be from the restart of the task.
