Kodi interface access via emby UI

I've been using kodi / media portal for sometime as I like being able to use one gui to access what I need, in kodi I can stay in kodi and access live tv and dvr via backend plugin. I'm looking to try plex and emby and wanted to replace kodi but from what I found I'd be giving up lots of plugins. One main one is Youtube, on kodi it's awesome and supports my account with my subscriptions etc. I don't see this on emby nor plugins like maverick etc which allow me to stream old tv shows. So, my questions is ...is there a way for me to access kodi or the addons on kodi via the emby interface web and theater? I don't want to have to switch between interfaces just to use plugins. My goal is to use emby UI exclusively. Is the emby core expandable via plugins? Would it be possible to add native support for kodi addons and the reps etc without installing kodi? I'm finding kodi doesn't have the streaming capabilities that plex and emby have and plex and emby don't have plugins like kodi. What I'd like to have in the end is to use emby and it's dvr functions with my hdhomerun and also to have my plugins that I use on kodi all the time.

"We also have Kodi addons that allow you to connect to Emby Server from Kodi, did you see those?"

Yes I did see that and plex has one to I believe, this allows you to connect to the emby server via kodi. My question is..does this just launch the emby UI so I can use Emby for watching live TV, playing music etc from within emby's UI and not kodi/s UI? I guess what I'm saying is I want to use the native emby GIU so if using kodi to launch something like theater and the resolution and overall experience was the same as the native experience that would work.

Depends, there's actually two Kodi addons for Emby.

Emby for Kodi uses the native Kodi UI.

EmbyCon uses it's own embedded UI. Both are discussed here:

Please let us know if this helps. Thanks !
