siwan05 0 Posted April 20, 2019 Posted April 20, 2019 Hey, So recently updated my Philips 65pus8102 to Oreo and all of a sudden when watching media files through emby (and also plex) there are big black areas above and below the media playing. These areas where a lot smaller before updating to Oreo. Stretching the screen of course makes you miss parts of the media so that won't work, anyone else that has experienced this and found a solution? See attachment for what I mean.
pünktchen 1409 Posted April 20, 2019 Posted April 20, 2019 It's a known bug in your new Philips firmware. Either wait some months for an update or just do a downgrade. Nothing the app developers can do about.
ebr 16184 Posted April 20, 2019 Posted April 20, 2019 Hard to be completely sure but, if that is a 2.40:1 movie, that may be the correct presentation...

Before it was totally broken, now it only happens sometimes in the Amazon app and the problem still exists for every app other then the native Philips video app! You have to read the whole thread.
