Header log in failure - invalid username or password

Hi guys forgive me if this is posted in the wrong section but at this point I'm more than a tad frustrated.

Ive been trying emby out for a few weeks and alls good but i now find I come to add a user/firestick to my server (via the pin) and it wont let me in.

I know my details are correct and even gone as far as to reset my password.

The frustrating thing is whilst emby are pressing me to get a premium license which tbh i am considering there isnt any direct link for support !

So with no one to talk to I end up here, any idea's on how to sort this please??

Hi.  Are you able to log in by providing the server address manually?

Yes, but on the Fire TV (which you could not use "localhost" for).

Sorry I might have confused you here. When i first installed it on this firestick it asked me to enter the PIN on my emby server/settings (emby.media/pin)

I couldnt because I couldnt log in, hence the post initially. Just run the app on the firestick and it seems to be working ok at the moment, and ive just tried to log into emby online (http://app.emby.media/#!/home.html ) and thats seems ok .. strange

well tbh i expected a direct support link, as most other companies have. I think I was just frustrated because I knew my details were correct (I use last pass and also checked them with a note Id made) but i couldnt sort it. (tbh it sort of corrected itself, still not sure why) I think the community here is great and a lot more helpful than Plex which im paying full price for.

I also like Emby's speed and flexability .. much better on a firestick  than plex. the interface isnt as slick as plex but that maybe me just being used to plex.

Chief bottle washer was also a big help so many thanks to him ..

yes email would offer a little more security and clarity to newbies like myself .. I mean take the forum for example .. its great for what it is but I wasnt even sure where or if to post my problem here ..

even if the link is only for password or login problems that would be a help. One could always come to the forum for any other queries. As I say i wasnt being critial of the product or forum, just frustrated because I dint know who or where to ask relating my password/login problem.

Hi.  Right now all our technical support is handled via this forum.  That has proven to be the most efficient and fastest way we can help users.

 

For billing support, we do have an email address (billingsupport@emby.media) and that is displayed anywhere that billing is involved (receipts, key emails, etc.).
