md_heuler 2 Posted April 17, 2019 Posted April 17, 2019 Hello, trying to make all my media available to emby I stumbled upon quite a number of recordings that I did using vdr (video disc recorder). Files there are typically stored in multiple parts in the scheme ... Godfather/2019-02-22.19.00.6-0.rec/00001.ts 00002.ts 00003.ts ... or older ones quite similar ... Godfather/2012-02-10.18.50.50.99.rec/001.vdr 002.vdr 003.vdr ... Playing the streams doesn't seem to be a problem for emby but I haven't figured out a decent way to put it into the media library. As I am still using vdr for watching TV I rather would like to keep the files with the original name and file structure. For emby the movies should however show up with their real name (not 00001, 00002 etc.) Also there should only be ONE entry per movie, not several ones for 00001, 00002, etc. Any clever idea ... or even better, experience? Thanks, md_heuler

md_heuler 2 Posted April 18, 2019 Author Posted April 18, 2019 Actually I thought about applying the file structure equivalent to Movie_part1.ext Movie_part2.ext ... Would that help? Isn't emby able to automatically continue playing with the next part when finished with one? I observed this with TV Series.
