Guest Posted April 15, 2019 Posted April 15, 2019 Would it be possible to have previev of the the videos one below the other with the description on the right side? It would made it easier to read which video has which content.
ebr 16182 Posted April 15, 2019 Posted April 15, 2019 Variation of this: List view in server and apps
Guest Posted April 27, 2019 Posted April 27, 2019 Variation of this: List view in server and apps yes more or less. For the series there is such a view. But I would like the same view also for a normal library. It's so much more easy to view recorded broadcasts. If I attach a library that has files with an episode info like broadcast_S01E05 then I get the same view like in the first image. Otherwise I get a view like in the second image . I would like a view like in the first image.
Luke 42078 Posted April 27, 2019 Posted April 27, 2019 Have you tried clicked clicking the three dot menu and selecting list?
Guest Posted April 27, 2019 Posted April 27, 2019 Have you tried clicked clicking the three dot menu and selecting list? yes, of course. But then I just have the title of the broadcast. In the view like in the image above I've also the description. But in the view above, let's say the TV Shows view, I'm not able to sort it by the date added. It's not possible to sort it at all. It's a pitty because it would help a lot and would look great.
Luke 42078 Posted April 28, 2019 Posted April 28, 2019 Right I see, you'd like more information in the list. yes it is possible for the future, thanks.
Guest Posted April 28, 2019 Posted April 28, 2019 Right I see, you'd like more information in the list. yes it is possible for the future, thanks. Thank you very much, What about the sorting of the TV Show view list? Would it be possible to sort it by the date added?
Luke 42078 Posted April 28, 2019 Posted April 28, 2019 Thank you very much, What about the sorting of the TV Show view list? Would it be possible to sort it by the date added? Did you explore the sorting options that are already there?
Guest Posted April 29, 2019 Posted April 29, 2019 Did you explore the sorting options that are already there? As you see in the image above: there is no sorting options there. But it's listing the broadcasts in a list with the description of the content. This is not the list view. Because in the list view there is just the title without the description. If you create a library that has content with episode numbers, emby transform it as it would be a TV show with seasons and so on. But I like this representation very much. The only point it's that It's not possible to sort it.
Luke 42078 Posted April 29, 2019 Posted April 29, 2019 Right ok because in a tv series library they are sorted under each season by episode number. It's possible to add sorting to that in the future, but for now, for the best experience possible, I would suggest assigning episode numbers. Please let us know if this helps. Thanks.

Thanks. it doesn't help in this case, because I've recorded tv broadcasts, which I want to show sorted by the date added. The only workaround would be to write out the info file with the date before the title of the show or to add a counter in the title. Add the sorting possibility would be easier :-)
Guest Posted May 10, 2019 Posted May 10, 2019 until my last request to this point there were released already two beta versions of emby-server. Do you know when this request will be implemented or if it will be implemented? My customers desire such a sorting possibiity and it would be great to see it in the next release.
Luke 42078 Posted May 15, 2019 Posted May 15, 2019 More display options are possible for the future. Thanks.
