Emby and Cloudfare

I've been trying to set up emby via cloudflare for outside access using the guide https://blog.awelswynol.co.uk/2018/01/setting-up-cloudflare-with-emby but for some reason when I try to connect outside the network it wont work, however, a friend said he could connect using the web address so I am at a loss.  I want to figure this out before i purchase and not sure what I am missing.

Numerous users here, have followed that excellent guide, so as long as you have done every step inside that guide, it works.

 

Is it a new domain you just have setup ?

Are you using a subdomain? Cloudflare doesn't support wildcards, you will need to create an alias A record for any subdomains

Yes it is a new domain I just set up and I also created the A record like the guide said.
