Not sure what has changed but often I am unable to connect remotely and need new ideas for determining the issue. Emby Connect will sometimes not show my server and will ask me to add it manually (theres another button below asking me to sign in to emby connect even though I already am signed in. I don't know if this is a UI thing or it genuinely doesn't think I've signed in) -I can see another server I have access to on this screen so I have to be signed in, correct? I originally did not use my Dynamic DNS because everything worked flawlessly with Emby Connect. I could no longer connect remotely so I changed setting to connect the DDNS and things now at least work intermittently. Port is open on my router. Port is open in windows firewall Port shows accessible on CanYouSeeMe.org Can connect In-home without issue. Restarted computer - no effect. Installed stable release over beta - no effect Restarted modem and router - no effect Emby server is installed on a PC that never sleeps. Log files are very long so its hard to gain any insight. Ideas?

I can report that I haven't had an incident of being unable to connect in the last couple of days. I think we can be satisfied its "fixed" if we can get through a week without issues. I'll report back.

The root problem is the intermittent remote connectivity; I don't think my remote IP changes more than any body elses. This problem still happens when I have the ddns setup so i'm not sure thats what would be the root issue.

notla49285 48 Posted June 20, 2019 Posted June 20, 2019 If your IP does change, do you have any kind of service that's updating your DNS provider with the new IP?
