If i install this plugin will it be the default view for all users? Will all users see this art or is it something they will have to throttle on in the settings?

It will, it is server option, not user option; all users on all clients will see the same CoverArt treatments/overlays.

How can I make all the movies in a specific folder appear with the image attached to this post BD-GREEN.png?

I'm doing this because I organize the library by file size, some of them have high quality, others have very low quality.

It can be done but Emby deletes them every 30 days as it clears the cached resources and get the default again.  Also with every plugin update as the folder changes per version.  One reason we keep asking for a custom folder like custom icons.

1 go to C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\programdata\cache\coverart\4.1.28.0\MetroCase path will obviously be platform specific.

2 delete or rename the BD.png or you could edit that template or just replace it.

3 go to C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\programdata\cache\images path will obviously be platform specific and delete the /enhanced-images folder

4 may need to delete browser cache

5 navigate in Emby to rebuild cache and should see your custom template.

But this will be used for all Blu-Ray quality movies as there is only one template even if you are setting specific profiles per folder.

I put movies with different sizes, qualities and also versions. I want to separate the content of each folder with different colors, I'm downloading a small example

But what do you consider Low/Normal/High?  As the plugin knows DVD/Blu-Ray/UHD pretty sure based off Resolution.

Don't think it is possible as the resources do not work that way as there is only one resource each type so it would be the same in every folder.  The plugin would need to have multiple resource options per type to do what you want, ie have each color option template as a map option.

Hi. Why not just use the covers we already have for your distinctions?

We have DVD, BD and 4K and you can use profiles to do what you want.

Hello, let me explain

I have a lot of movies that have several translations, old and new movies, and the dubbing is good and some is horrible. I use this method to differentiate the dubbing, I keep leaving the movie with bad dubbing until I find the version with great dubbing, this is very difficult to organize because you have to listen to each movie, and I haven't found another way to separate them better other than the one I put above.

But does not work as it actually reverts to default template (default.png); I will guess as the custom image is still not understood completely.

So you would have to be creative with existing resource per profile.

Default profile config using default BD image

Custom folder Movies - NFO

Edited the HD resource image with the Green image.

Removed the HD mapping so default resource will be used.

Since there is only one resource per type you will have to get creative with the options that are there.  So you may have to go through mapping options to have Emby create the template in the folder then map and edit image to your needs.

But as previously mentioned Emby Cache Cleanup task will nuke these images every 30 days.  So you need to ensure the image dates are update before that time so the task does not clean the out.

Mas, como mencionado anteriormente, a tarefa Emby Cache Cleanup irá destruir essas imagens a cada 30 dias. Então, você precisa garantir que as datas das imagens sejam atualizadas antes desse tempo para que a tarefa não as limpe.

Es funktionieren nur die Overlays, die als Symbole angezeigt werden. Auch der Pfad zu den Overlays ist korrekt, ebenso wie die Größe der Datei, also die Abmessungen. HDR10+ funktioniert ab heute nicht. Um ehrlich zu sein, ärgere ich mich, dass nicht alles so funktioniert, wie es sollte.

 

Ich würde gerne wissen, was ich tun kann, damit meine benutzerdefinierten Overlays wieder richtig funktionieren. Im Moment überschreibe ich ständig die Standard-Icons mit meinen, aber jedes Mal wenn das NAS hochfährt, muss ich sie immer wieder neu anpassen...

The movies look good. But no matter what i try  i cant get series to look the same. It keeps saying "TV Series" I want "4K" and  the 4k  and DV or HDR at the bottom.
Anyone can help me out here?

Edit: fixed the 4K at the top. But sill no logos.

Hi.  TV series do not have media information because they are not a single media item.  They are a collection of many media items - which could have many different characteristics.

How do you mean? They are HDR , DV etc just like movie filles. Whats the difference?

Right but there are multiple levels to TV vs one level and one item to a movies.

So you Series and Season have absolutely no information only each episode and they can be anything on one value can really never work.
