hello, my evt_hdr10plus.png icon does not work, it still shows the evt_hdr.png logo instead (and both are in the same folder, and i am positive the movie is in hdr10+, it's a bluray i ripped yesterday, it's a hdr10+ documentary, and even mediainfo plugin identified it as such), emby version is 4.9.0.28 and coverart plugin 4.1.28.0

Recently I've been seeing the following icon showing up on coverart images. What does it signify?

image.png.01bd18b37fcbb5ea668072a6a9219dfc.png

I thought it might be for descriptive audio or sutbtitles. But it is being used on enhanced images for movies that contain neither.

I don't have it but have you checked the resource folder to see what it is labeled?

\cache\coverart\4.1.28.0\resources

Thanks for pointing me towards that. The image in that location is named "audio_lang_eng". The majority of the movies in my collection have English language audio. So now I need to figure out why it only shows up on images for some movies. I thought it might only be showing up on recent movies added to my library. But I just went through my library, and it is showing up on some movies that were added over a year ago.

Not sure why the icon is automatically being shown on coverart for some older films added to my library and not others. But when I update metadata for movies with english languages where the icon is not shown on the enhanced coverart, it is added to the image.

Might be a cache issue of not everything updated yet.  At now that I have looked on my test system I now see them.  But I just clear the \cache\images\enhanced-images folder also.

But guess I can see all my media that does not have a set audio language value now.

This icon is one that I would prefer not showing up on my enhanced coverart images. I deleted it from the cache, but it was just downloaded again when new media with English language audio is added to my library. Is there a way to block it from being used?

@ebrwould have to comment as there is not option for audio language on overlays.  It is tied to the Audio setting though as disabling it loses codec and language.

@roakudidn't you add something related to that?

Yes, this is showing up now as part of the 'Audio' checkbox under 'Indicator Overlays'.

It could be broken out to a separate checkbox as 'Audio Language' or something like that.

We need to verify that Emby detects this content as HDR10+.

This can be done by including a screenshot of the media info at the bottom of the item page (with 'Show full media at the bottom of audio and video detail screens' checked in Display settings).

it does not show hdr10+ in info, but the mediainfo plugin detects it as hdr10+ and on my tv it triggers hdr10+

Emby is the only source of information about the video available to the plugin. If it tells the plugin that the video is HDR10, that's what the plugin will believe.

@LukeCoverArt is currently only checking ExtendedVideoTypes to differentiate between DolbyVision, HDR10, and HDR10Plus. Does it potentially need to dig into ExtendedVideoSubTypes in some cases to separate HDR10Plus from HDR10?

emby does not seem to recognize HDR10+ content, I have a movie that is only HDR10+ see Mediainfo, but emby only shows me HDR10. Please fix, thank you.image.png.dd29db084ab61e419021d82293c7fcbc.png

Hope they will fix it soon

I will guess patches to ffprobe as I have not seen a version that show the info.  But there are mentions of it on the net.

Yeah, certainly, and as long as they are updating it, maybe, in the same time, they will also add the atmos/dts x identification that exist in the newer ffprobe versions 😛

To be honest, I paid 120 euros for Premiere a few months ago and spent more time with emby during that time. I noticed a lot of things that didn't run smoothly. If you pay for emby when you can do exactly the same thing with Jellyfin and for nothing. You get annoyed when it feels like nothing is happening for half an eternity.
I'll list all the points that bother me in a separate thread.

I hope the problem can be fixed here soon.

Well improvements take time and nothing ever happens over night as one change usually affects another.  Not like the free product has everything either.  But either way they got there start off all of Emby's hard work.

Will this be default for all users or do they have to switch to this view?
