Voice command to skip ahead exits recording

I can't say exactly when this started happening, but my memory is that I used to be able to say 'skip ahead 3 minutes' using the voice command on the remote. Now when I hit the microphone icon button on the remote the recording stops and exits to the previous screen.

Like I said, my MEMORY is that I used to be able to do that but maybe I'm wrong. It's handy to use the voice command like that vs scrubbing to skip commercials.

Hi, is this consistent? does it happen with all videos, including those that are not recordings?

Yes,

consistent and happens with a H264 file as well as a recording from my HDHR Prime.

The file stops playing and the voice prompts for Siri come up at the same time.

Best guess would be that this only works (if it did work before) with the native player.

In my experience, it seems that voice playback commands only work while the video is paused. If it is playing when the voice command is given, the behavior is as reported in this post.

Kon-Tiki -

I just tried that on two different file types and it works, pause then the voice command will skip ahead. Thank you, I’ll do that in the mean time!
