Library/directory processing drops items

I use the LG client most of the time. Not sure if it is client specific. I will give you an example of the problem. I have a library called Music Videos with a media type of music videos. When I play an item while browsing Music Videos and then return from that item to browse Music Videos again there are times when many item disappear and the only way to restore those missing item is to exit Music Videos and then return. I see it happen with different library/media types. It's so obvious a problem that I am surprised it still exits.

Hi, that's strange, so you're not playing from the home screen, is that correct?

I don't understand your question. I start on the home screen click on Music Videos and browser the videos. When I find one I want to play click on i to play it. When the video is finished it return to the main screen for that music video. Press return on the remote to return to browser more music videos. At that point there are missing music videos. Not every time, but often enough to make it a real pain.

I thought I would up date this post to make sure you have the info to isolate the problem.

 

I'm assuming that this is a LG client problem. I have seen this problem when browsing the Movies media type and Music Videos. The only time i have noticed it is when I have Emby sort by "date added".

 

This is the one problem that diminishes my enjoyment of Emby.

There is little doubt in my mind if you use an up-to-date LG client and sort by "date added" you will see it. During a session with Emby I must exit the media library i'm in and return to the home screen and then reenter the library many time just to see all the items in the library.

No, I can't duplicate this on my Samsung.  I don't have any music videos so I tried with movies. 

 

 

Steps:

 

Movies

Change sort order to "date added"

Open movie detail page

Play movie

After movie is over Emby returns to the details page

Click return to go back to Movies.

nothing is missing
