asadkhan 0 Posted April 8, 2019 Posted April 8, 2019 I have an HDHomerun Extend and I ran into the same issue as: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/61470-hdhomerun-extend-does-not-change-recording-resolution/page-2 This request is for the most basic form of configuration: * for an Extend device only * expose an option on the device page to (optionally) choose/enforce one of the Extend's transcoder settings for *all* recordings * keep the default the same as today i.e. Emby uses whatever setting (highest) it's using internally Background: I'd like to push any and all transcodes (for both live and recordings) to the Extend so as to support a diversity of clients (web/mobile/Fire/Theater) For now (with my current infrastructure) I would prefer to trade down recording quality for greater, more uniform, throughput.
