EODCrafter 181 Posted April 8, 2019 Author Posted April 8, 2019 (edited) In all fairness, It could be My IPTV Provider Blocking Emby for some Strange Reason...All I know is it doesn't work. Does anyone know of a 100% way that I can Spoof my Emby connection so my Provider doesn't know I'm using it? I need my provider to think I'm using VLC, cause it never fails to Play my Streams. I set mine to kodi since it's pretty popular.. Kodi/16.1 (Linux; Android 4.2.2; NEO-X7-216A Build/JDQ39) Android/4.2.2 Sys_CPU/armv7l App_Bitness/32 Version/16.1-Git:2016-04-24-c327c53 2
jscoys 147 Posted April 8, 2019 Posted April 8, 2019 Well I guess if you want to hide what you’re doing from you provider you can use a VPN like NordVPN... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Not Allowed...Thanks...Pretty sure that's why they Block Media Servers and VPN's....They want to Block Re-Streamers from Charging Access to their Streams using Emby as a Server. That's why Vader's and Beast IPTV are so horrible. I get it...I just want Emby to work in my House. Edited April 8, 2019 by EODCrafter
EODCrafter 181 Posted April 8, 2019 Author Posted April 8, 2019 OMG I think that worked! 1st time it's actually played on Emby since it came on! AWESOME!!!!!!!! 2
EODCrafter 181 Posted April 8, 2019 Author Posted April 8, 2019 (edited) Thanks for the topic Edit...I over dramatize things I tend to say, "I'm not gonna blow Sunshine up tour A#@, Don't blow it up mine". Edited April 8, 2019 by EODCrafter

pir8radio 1312 Posted April 12, 2019 Posted April 12, 2019 I thought that it needed VPN to work based on the previous post Sent from my SM-G960U1 using Tapatalk No just needed to change (spoof) the request headers to the iptv service so they see his emby server as a kodi client.
EODCrafter 181 Posted April 13, 2019 Author Posted April 13, 2019 (edited) So a VPN is needed? Sent from my SM-G960U1 using Tapatalk This has nothing to do with a VPN, in fact, Our Provider Blocks all VPN's. I will still like to know the User Agent to Spoof VLC, that's more Universal than Kodi IMO. Edited April 13, 2019 by EODCrafter 1
Carlo 4561 Posted April 14, 2019 Posted April 14, 2019 Setup a proxy and run VLC through it, or use any type of packet capture program and you can easily see what different versions of software send as the user agent. From an end-user standpoint, a lot of people I know would not use these types of streaming services without VPN support. One, they want protection from their ISP seeing what type of data they are using their Internet connection for. Two, they use VPN to subvert QOS policies their ISP may impose. Three, they use VPN to get different routes to the servers then what they would get otherwise which can often times give better connection throughput and less latency. Four, it's the point of it. To many people it's a bit ironic that "questionable" providers will rebroadcast other peoples streams but try to go out of their way to make sure no else can use their streams, which isn't theirs in the first place, inconveniencing their users. It's kind of like a burgler having the best home security system. He doesn't care about the methods he uses to get his merchandise but doesn't want anyone doing the same to him. This probably isn't the place for this type of discussion however. 1
