Delete Unnecessary Subtitles

Is this doable? I have Emby set to download some subs if they don't exist. But say I add the movie from a new source, that includes the subs, so I no longer need the downloaded subs. Is there a way to have Emby automatically delete them?

Not automatically, but the subtitle editor has a delete function you can use.

Just because the new item may have subtitles doesn't mean you don't need the external subtitles.  If those internal subtitles are PSG subtitles, you are now putting a bigger transcoding strain on your server to burn in those subtitles.

Might it be possible to have this feature added to the actual Closed Caption pop up menu? Maybe in the form of a long press pop up with a Delete selection followed by a pop up confirmation. I have several videos that have several subs because I had to download several in order to find one that was timed correctly.
