I don't find the favorites in the Android TV app. In all the other apps (iOS, Webapp) there is a fovorites section but not in the Android TV app.

Hi. There are "Favorites" tabs inside each library.  Where are you looking?

Okay, there is no way to control having a "Favorites" row on the home screen right now but there are favorites in each library.

I'm finding emby on Android tv almost unusable without the favorites screen like the Normal Android app has... I'm going to try side loading it..

I hope it doesn't require a mouse

I can tell you that isn't going to work well.

What are you using the top level Favorites for that isn't covered by the Favorites in the libraries (or the Favorite filter available in all the grids)?

I have my media quite categorized, with many Shows in different categories, it works perfectly on the android client when I view top level favorites, I get an overall listing of my 'favorite' Shows and Movies.

What possible rationale is there to not offer that functionality for android TV?

I got excited when I realized the Jellyfin client worked on my phone, but that the android TV app (which I don't know if it has the feature or not wouldn't connect -- I guess they've introduced incompatibilities)

Is there any workaround? You're right, sideloading didn't work well. I would need to have a mouse and keyboard attached to my Shield...

Are there plans for feature parity eventually for the Android TV version?

Hi, yes there are. We're going as fast as we can :)

Hi.   There just isn't a good way to introduce it to the current Home Screen interface (that wouldn't be significantly different from the other apps).  You might say that we could add it as a new row but that would be pretty limited and would be different from all other apps and the settings of what rows are on your home screen are shared by the apps.

We have had plans for a while to try and introduce a bit of a new interface here but simply haven't gotten to it yet.

Thanks.
