Hello,

I'd like to have the ability to rename, or add a nickname, to an emby connect user on the emby server. The name field is not editable when a user is added by emby connect account,

I'd like this so I can easily identify the user. Users sometimes choose account names which are not descriptive. For example, my friend Bob chose an emby connect account name of "MovieFan2009". This kind of naming is not helpful to the system administrator.

I have misspelt names regularly, and gone back and edited them ?  Only yesterday I did another.  These are not emby connect users though.

Hi, Emby Connect is getting revamped over the next couple months, and while I don't have all the details yet, users will not be picking their own names anymore, so I this becomes a moot point, right?

That's good to hear, but I think the request is still valid, in the sense that the server admin still needs a way to clearly identify emby connect users. Will we see first/last name, an ID number, an email address, etc.?

Anyway, thanks for your consideration as you revamp things. Either way, emby is a rockin system with lots of goodies!

Without saying too much, essentially you'll be seeing what you see with regular local users, so i guess we'd have to add all of those data fields to them.

This request has been completed and is included in the new Emby 4.x.

Thanks!
