Luke 42079 Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 Hi there, I believe the issue here is resolved for the next release. If you need immediate relief you can try the beta channel. Thanks.
douglasg14b 0 Posted March 31, 2019 Author Posted March 31, 2019 (edited) Hi there, I believe the issue here is resolved for the next release. If you need immediate relief you can try the beta channel. Thanks. Unfortunately the beta branch for the docker image doesn't seem to work, the container infinitely restarts. Infinite recursion during resource lookup within System.Private.CoreLib. This may be a bug in System.Private.CoreLib, or potentially in certain extensibility points such as assembly resolve events or CultureInfo names. Resource name: Arg_ExternalException Do you know what is the actual cause of the problem I'm experiencing with HEVC media? Edited April 1, 2019 by douglasg14b
Luke 42079 Posted April 1, 2019 Posted April 1, 2019 What environment are you running on? The issue looks to be a defect in the server. I have not reproduced it but it was reported by one other user, and I think it is resolved for 4.1.
douglasg14b 0 Posted April 1, 2019 Author Posted April 1, 2019 I'm running Ubuntu 18.04 with Docker 18.05.0-ce.
Luke 42079 Posted April 1, 2019 Posted April 1, 2019 On the beta, can you please attach the complete emby server log? thanks.
douglasg14b 0 Posted April 1, 2019 Author Posted April 1, 2019 How do I access the server log if the docker container doesn't finish starting up? Under the volume for the docker container there is just an empty `_data` directory. The only logs I have are the docker logs (this log item just repeats indefinitely): Infinite recursion during resource lookup within System.Private.CoreLib.
