Android App spinning circle

The app works fine, however if I minimise the app or my ip changes (mobile connection) I am presented with a spinning circle until force closing the app and reopening it.

 

Also the connected chromecast does not reconnect automatically and has to be selected from the list again.

 

Any logs I can provide from the app to help diagnose this?

Actually the connection will recover if you wait for the spinning circle to time out, then it will retry using other available ip addresses for the server.
