Question about the subtitle hash match setting

I noticed that for a while now opensubtitles are no longer downloading; used to work beautifully. In the log I see tons of entries

2019-03-31 16:04:59.940 Info HttpClient: POST https://api.opensubtitles.org/xml-rpc

but no actual download occurs. Calling the link above yields an xml files containing "parse error. not well formed" Anyone knows what happened?

Ok it seems this was related to requiring the hash match. I disabled this and subtitles are downloading again.
