I am using sync to replicate some media to the cloud.

 

A few ideas that would really improve the general experience when using sync:

• Be able to break down what is synced to where by category (eg TV, Film)
• An option to keep the original naming convention used locally for the file
• Show details about why an item "Failed" to sync
• Add the ability to sync "Failed" items - at the moment if I sync an entire TV show, a number of items fail.there is no option to try to sync the failed items again
• Set upload priority - at the moment I can set a bandwidth limit, i'd like to be able to use all bandwidth available, but if a user starts streaming, for it to throttle the upload right back / pause it, until the server is idle again
• Add the ability to "pause" the sync task - at the moment its only possible to cancel
• Add the ability to handle multiple resolutions of the same item - ie I'd like a full quality using the mobile profile and the TV profile however it does not seem possible to do this - maybe using the name convention above with the profile appended?

This you can already do, you just have to sync it more than once.

You can just stop the scheduled task and then re-run it later.

If it works the same as sync to a mobile device, if you are syncing a show rather than individual episodes, if you manually remove the failed item from the sync list it normally sorts itself out, ie:

 

Sync 'Game of Thrones S1' to mobile device.

If you look in Sync Queue, under 'Game Of Thrones S1', you will have entries for episode 1, episode 2 etc etc

If episode 2 fails, delete it from the above sync queue entry. 

Next time the sync process runs, it will see that it's missing and re-add it back into the queue for sync again.

I suppose we could start automatically re-queuing failures.
