robs_drunk 1 Posted March 29, 2019 Posted March 29, 2019 Hi I have set up IPTV and it's working perfectly in Chrome, iOS app and Android app these work on the local network and remotely Theater is version 3.0.6 Any Ideas? I can't find anything in the logs and will load up some more testing when I'm but are keen for thoughts seems strange it can run perfectly for hours from the other options just not Theater.
Carlo 4561 Posted March 29, 2019 Posted March 29, 2019 Is the device/pc running theater on connected via WIFI or RJ45 Ethernet?
robs_drunk 1 Posted March 29, 2019 Author Posted March 29, 2019 It's RJ45 It's on the NUC and the Windows Server that it runs fine in everything but Theater
Carlo 4561 Posted March 29, 2019 Posted March 29, 2019 Can you give us more info. Is this direct playing, transcoding, direct streaming? Can you provide logs from a time period where this is happening?
robs_drunk 1 Posted March 30, 2019 Author Posted March 30, 2019 (edited) It's direct Play log here https://drive.google.com/open?id=1xiu5N0AN9biJUaKUyh5KL9e5NCuSwJ1d I can stream it from chrome on same machine but not in emby Theater Edited March 30, 2019 by robs_drunk

robs_drunk 1 Posted April 9, 2019 Author Posted April 9, 2019 Can you please attach the emby server log as well? thanks. Any ideas on the cause?
Tony B. 38 Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 I have this issue frequently with IPTV. At times, it will just quit and I have to restream it. It really doesn't play well with recordings. I came here to post something like this and am not trying to thread-jack you. It would be nice if emby could 'figure out' how best to restart the stream if it ends. The check-box in the configuration of the M3U tuner to restart doesn't do ANYTHING, I have tried it both ways and sometimes it's actually better when it's off. I use xTeve and the developer is going to put buffering on, I may suggest the same of emby. I understand that this is only one way to mitigate the abrupt stream end, but it certainly will help a lot of people that like to watch live TV every once and a while. However, it would be nice if you all could figure out that "reconnect if stream stops" for recording. It's really bad.
Luke 42078 Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 Any ideas on the cause? Nothing obvious jumps out. I would suggest trying again with the upcoming 4.1 release. Thanks.
Tony B. 38 Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 Nothing obvious jumps out. I would suggest trying again with the upcoming 4.1 release. Thanks. When does that happen?
robs_drunk 1 Posted April 15, 2019 Author Posted April 15, 2019 thanks for checking I thought I was going mad. Will wait for the release, if it doesn't work I might try a total reinstall of the emby theater client on one of the machines and see if it makes a difference
robs_drunk 1 Posted April 20, 2019 Author Posted April 20, 2019 So it's working fine from the new server upgrade ran for over 3 hours straight no issues
