My Roku tv connects to my emby server fine, and shows a list of individual user accounts on the server, but it won let me  log into any account that doesn't have a password on it. every thing worked fine last time i used it. today i turn it on and nothing. i can still log into thos acounts on the browser app via pc just not on roku. tells me invalid user name or password, even though there is no password set. tried uninstalling and reinstalling. did nothing.

***update***

i just tried adding a password to the accounts that didn't have one and they then worked, but when i change it back to not having a password the stop working again. and gives me the invalid username and password error again. this is a NO-GO for I have an autistic child who doesn't comprehend things like passwords and there's not always someone available to log him in. any way to fix this?

Any reason you have not updated?

Ok yes, please update to at least 4.0.2. Thanks.

I was sitting on Emby Server 4.0.1.0 for some reason (my server apparently wasn't retrieving updates even though I have that enabled, but that's another thing...) and my daughter's account had this same issue over the last couple days while I was out of town, which I assume has to do with a combination of old Emby server versions plus perhaps an update to the Roku app during that time?  That's just speculation of course.

Anyway, getting to the point, I manually downloaded and updated my server to 4.0.3.0 now, and the problem was resolved right away for local login without pin or password.  Hopefully that solves it for you as well, robert.
