andersrh.arh 0 Posted March 28, 2019 Posted March 28, 2019 Hello. I'm new here. I have just installed Emby on my server - looks good so far. I wanted to know, if the Android app caches media files so you wont have to download them each time, and then clears old files when your phone runs out of space or you reach a cache maximum size? Best regards.
Luke 42078 Posted March 28, 2019 Posted March 28, 2019 Hi, what files do you mean, media files during playback?
Wesss 0 Posted April 12, 2019 Posted April 12, 2019 That is what I'd suggest he means as well. In particular for audio and images, automatically caching some amount of audio that has been played onto the device would make sure that even when cell signal goes out, you have some offline media you can listen to. I don't re-watch shows or movies, so it doesn't seem sensible to cache shows or movies beyond some very limited time frame.
