Access restriction a bit too strict

Hey guys,

 

I want to set content ratings for movies, lets say pg-12.

But I dont want it to affect TV shows. I still want to allow all TV shows.

 

But there isnt this granularity available on Emby server, unless I'm blind?

 

Can anyone help me with some workaround if possible?

Basically I dont want to restrict TV shows, but I do want to restrict movies.

I moved from Plex and had this setup and working like a treat.

you can tag stuff and restrict the tag.  

 

sadly we're still unable to tag stuff and restrict the inverse of the tags, so it's a lot of work.

Yeah I'm not going to tag ALL my movies

I could tag the tv shows as I dont have that many, but I cant allow those tags, as you say, inverse.

If I manually edit the meta data for each TV show and make it GB-12, will it auto adjust this the next time it does an auto sync?

Hi.  You don't have to use tags.

 

If you have a particular TV show you believe should be allowed, simply change the "Custom Rating" to whatever you want it to be.  That is what that field is for.
