Trailers, Backdrops, and Theme-music... oh my!

Ok, so I have an issue that has got me stumped and I'm looking for a bit of help.

I have almost 700 movies in my library and 1 is giving me fits. This one movie has a local trailer, backdrop, and theme-music... emby won't recognize any of this. when you click the trailer, it launches youtube. reports show that the local trailer is missing... this is false. Backdrops do not play at all, it's like they don't exist, same for theme-music. I will say, the movie plays just fine, no issues there.

I've tried:

scanning

refreshes

metadata refreshes

removing nfo and all emby files from the folder and refreshing

deleting the entire file from the server / readding

moving everything to a new folder and readding

nothing works, and it's just 1 this one file. Anyone else ever experienced anything like this before?

Hi, what are the exactly file names?

Here's the file structure, items in bold represent folders. this is the same structure that I use for all movies.

Dances with wolves

     Dances with Wolves.mkv

     Trailers

          trailer.mp4

     Backdrops

          video1.mp4

     theme-music

          song1.mp3

Can you try moving the folder out of the library, running a full library scan, and then after it completes, adding it back? Please see if that helps. Thanks.

I've done that already, but I went ahead and tried it again... didn't work. I went ahead and went through my entire library and I've now discovered a 2nd movie that this has happened to. Warcraft... same deal, won't recognize local trailers, backdrops, or theme music. This seems very strange to me as only 2 movies are affected out of about 700. Also, I don't know how long this has been like this, I'm not sure if this started on this latest version or a past version. I'm also wondering if this could be windows related. Perhaps some permission issue preventing emby from accessing those folders?

Worth double checking the spelling of the actual folders for that specifc movie. I once had a couple of backdrops folders spelt incorrectly without the s which caused me a few issues and took me a while to spot it.

Yes that's a very good point, and I have made that mistake in the past several times myself, but this is not the case here. I've even gone as far as to delete the old folders and recreate them, so I know the spelling is correct.

OK so I just wanted to post an update. This issue has been resolved... I just can't explain it. I woke up this morning and everything is working correctly. I haven't restarted the server. no updates were done. The reports are now showing they have local trailers and backdrops on both films (dances with wolves, and Warcraft) are working. It hasn't worked for several days, but now out of the blue it is. The only thing I've did last night was add new content (a tv episode) but this was added to a totally different library and has nothing to do with my movie library.

Interesting, thanks for the feedback.
