CBaldwinJ89 27 Posted March 21, 2019 Posted March 21, 2019 Can you make it so users have to select their account whenever opening the app? Not automatically logging them and then having them sign out and switch accounts. Too much. Should just be sweet and simple and let the users select an image like netflix.
mastrmind11 722 Posted March 21, 2019 Posted March 21, 2019 this is already possible. disable the option to keep current user logged in on your client(s). 1
CBaldwinJ89 27 Posted March 21, 2019 Author Posted March 21, 2019 On. Is that in general? I'm sorry documentation isn't vey crisp
ebr 16184 Posted March 21, 2019 Posted March 21, 2019 This is the option in the web app: Do your users not have passwords?
CBaldwinJ89 27 Posted March 21, 2019 Author Posted March 21, 2019 Oh that doesn't show up for the first sign in, when your very first sign in in any app it brings you right to the "admins" dashboard. If you have users set up it should ask which user you want. And on the Xbox or Android I don't see that option anywhere. See plex ask you every time you sign in to enter your 4 digit pin if you wantit to be secure. Or to just select which profile to pick. I think we should have that option as well. Gives a more appealing look and flavor to this system.
Luke 42078 Posted March 22, 2019 Posted March 22, 2019 If you sign out of the web app and then log back in, then you should see that option on the login screen. Please let us know if this helps. Thanks.
CBaldwinJ89 27 Posted March 22, 2019 Author Posted March 22, 2019 Yes though as a feature request could we not add it so it ask every time? And use the pin that we set up. Or something of that sort, I like how netflix and plex does that. My wife isn't very good with electronics and neither is my son. So doing multiple things just to switch an account is counter productive. Should just make it like a profile selector every time the app opens up. Or at least have that option to turn that on in the settings.
mastrmind11 722 Posted March 22, 2019 Posted March 22, 2019 just try it. it already does exactly what you're describing.
legallink 187 Posted March 22, 2019 Posted March 22, 2019 Also, what device are you using? I didn’t catch that.
