I got the same behavior in my test.  Adding a BDMV left the date added field blank but the display showed 12/1/1, and a refresh all on the item returned date above.  Only tested BDMV.

I believe he was asking to add new media to see if the same thing is happening, not a new topic.  But in my test it is.
