esxi windows7 igpu passthrough

Hi all, im new to emby and a little confused about transcoding. 1st question, Does transcoding need premiere subscription? 2nd question, I passthrough haswell igpu successfully, but in the transcoding menu, i got "Quicksync RDPDD chained DD" and "DXVA RDPDD chained DD". What is this actually? From the dashboard, info showing SOFTWARE for any transcoding. For the record, I successfully activated and transcoded videos using mediacoder using intel quicksync. Thanks again.

Hi, transcoding does not require emby premiere, but hardware transcoding does. Please let us know if this answers your question. Thanks.

Thanks sir, yes, i mean hw transcoding. Does the listed "Quicksync RDPDD chained DD" will do hw transcoding if I subscribe to premier?

I would suggest checking out our hardware acceleration wiki to learn about windows setup requirements.

 

On the server transcoding settings screen if you select Advanced, is anything detected underneath there?

Yes those can all be used with Emby premiere.
