Koleckai Silvestri 1154 Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 Where is this pulled from? Trying to figure out two things. 1) Why it doesn't match Trakt.tv's schedule. 2) Why it is inconsistent in the number of days. Sometimes it is 3 days. Sometimes 8.
gcw07 347 Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 It is pulled from thetvdb.com data. It should match trakt's schedule, but trakt may update a little more often this the MB system does. Probably just from different data being available.
Koleckai Silvestri 1154 Posted May 10, 2014 Author Posted May 10, 2014 Hmm. Can't see an upcoming episode list at thetvdb.com. I guess just relies on api calls on your shows. Might have to figure something else out for consistency.
ebr 16184 Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 When we get information for a given show, we get all the information that tvdb has. This includes all episodes they have in their database - which will include future ones in a lot of cases. However, we don't re-retrieve this information on every scan. We cache it (probably for at least one day but maybe longer) so that we don't pummel tvdb. And, when we request new information, we use an API they have that will provide us just with the information that has changed since we last fetched. So, with all of this, there will be some delay in the information we see but it shouldn't be much longer than 24 hours.
