Can I Manually Set Aspect Ratio/Resolution Settings on Streams?

Hello,

I use an HDHomeRun PRIME and have Comcast as a provider.

I can't tell if it's Comcast, the broadcaster, or what, but something wrong is going on where someone changed something and lots of channels are being incorrectly set for 4:3 aspect ratio when they should be 16:9. It was fine for over a year and suddenly this is happening. I blame DST changes :P

Is there a way I can set this sort of thing on the backend to make streams transcode nicely to my devices? I know, it's a dumb situation and it might actually get fixed eventually... or not, so I'm hoping there's a way I can manage to do this.

Here's an example of what I'm talking about:

Thanks

Hi, no there isn't but are you sure that's the issue and that it's not being squashed in the source feed?

Yeah I'm 100% about it coming from the provider since if I dig around I can find others complaining about it over in TWC, I'm suspecting the same problem has bled over onto Comcast as well.

It's not the end of the world, it's just a channel we've put on often and everything was working pretty much perfectly until this happened so it's a little bit of a bummer.

Like I said, it's something that might fix itself eventually, but maybe not... It would be nice to be able to set this sort of thing for particular channels for this sort of dumb scenario.

The video is 4:3 at this point. There's nothing we can do to make it 16:9 other than further distorting it.

Yeah I wouldn't spend the time on adding this feature either unless it happens more often. I'm just going to reach out to the broadcaster in the meantime and let them fix the problem or let them decide to leave it lie
