4.0.2.0 : Syno DS918+ : slowness

Recommended Posts

I would like to have your feedback.

I'm feeling Emby's performance are poor regarding my Syno config (DS918+ 4 Gb Ram). I'm surprised.

I'm feeling access/display of libraries content is slow.

How can i improve performances ?

Hi there, to improve the performance of your emby server, please try uninstalling these plugins, and then restarting the server:

Hello @@vdams

As a more general observation, this platform does perform very well, so we need to understand what specifically in your environment / setup is causing the problem.

Please can you use Resource Viewer to see how much memory Emby Server is using, let us know.

Also, are you running anything else on this system - what's the typical background CPU / memory utilisation.

Hello @@vdams

Thanks, look forward to the update. The DS918+ is quad core 'apollolake' based machine, so this machine has plenty of raw horsepower to make for a good experience.

The memory in the screenshot looks ok, do you know what was running at the time driving the ~18% CPU utilisation?

In the above examples, a response taking 555,293ms (~10mins), certainly seems a little unusual.
