HediSIX 51 Posted March 10, 2019 Posted March 10, 2019 Hi, I think the title is self explanatory but my problem is that I have movies in different languages and I would like to be able to keep the original title with auto organize, I will then select the information language in the library (which could be different). Additionally I noticed that it used to keep the names in English and it has recently changed for another language, but I can't explain why. Is it possible ? I cant' find any option for this. Any help would be much appreciated.
Luke 42083 Posted March 10, 2019 Posted March 10, 2019 I believe auto-organize will be using the metadata language settings of the library it is being organized into.
HediSIX 51 Posted March 10, 2019 Author Posted March 10, 2019 (edited) That's what I thought but it is no longer doing this: my movie library is set to English but the movies are now renamed in french ! Edit: My system language and main Emby language is indeed french. But I am surprised as it was not behaving this way before. For information the search results in auto organise are also in French. HediSIX 51 Posted May 31, 2019 Author Posted May 31, 2019 Hi I am still stuck with this problem where Auto Organise is naming the files and folder in another language than the one selected for the library. Is this an actual problem that may be solved in the future or something wrong with my setup ? In the meantime I cant use it anymore, which is very unfortunate !
Luke 42083 Posted May 31, 2019 Posted May 31, 2019 Hi there, can you please go over an example? Why do you feel this is the case? thanks.
HediSIX 51 Posted June 1, 2019 Author Posted June 1, 2019 (edited) Hi Luke, sure; let me explain: First, my Emby main language is set up to French under the main settings page. In Emby I have my main movie library set up with the "downloading langage=English", "Country=US" Then with the movies that I would like to keep and to organise I have the following: I have set up a watched folder for movies in auto-organise, "\Movies_to keep\" I copy and paste my movie file in this folder say "\Movies_to keep\The Martian (2015)\The Martian.mkv" In auto-organise I have to go under the activity log page where I always have the following message "Unable to find movie in library matching name The Martian" I have to click on the folder icon and then select "Movie", "+", then search for "name=The Martian", "Year=2015" but the research finds the movie in French "Seul sur mars" instead of English. Once completed I have a message in the auto organise Activity log that confirms that the movie has been added to "\movie library folder\Seul sur Mars (2015)\Seul sur Mars.mkv" This is where I would like to have the option to name the folder with the language set up in the library in this case in English hence "\The Martian (2015)\The Martian.mkv" instead of the French name. But for the others libraries that I have set up in french, I would like auto-organise to use the French name. The other solution would be to give us the option to select the language in the auto-organise search page interface (but this would remove the possibility to have auto organise do everything by itself). Let me know if this is not clear Edited June 1, 2019 by HediSIX
Luke 42083 Posted June 1, 2019 Posted June 1, 2019 Ok yes i can see why. Your scenario is a bit more complex and a lot of changes would be required to the plugin to accommodate this. It's possible for the future. thanks.
HediSIX 51 Posted June 1, 2019 Author Posted June 1, 2019 Thanks for your feedback, at least I know where I stand (so not me doing something wrong) ! Would there be a "simple" way to add a language selection box in the search window as a temporary workaround ? thanks
Luke 42083 Posted June 2, 2019 Posted June 2, 2019 Actually i think i was able to work it out. Please try the next update to the plugin. thanks.
daedalus 434 Posted June 2, 2019 Posted June 2, 2019 (edited) apologize, not connected to the latest change new topic here -> https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/74171-bug-auto-organize-extracted-movie-name-includes-path/ Edited June 2, 2019 by daedalus
HediSIX 51 Posted June 2, 2019 Author Posted June 2, 2019 Thanks Luke, will give it a try. Just a question, how do I get this new version ? it"s not showing up in Emby.
Luke 42083 Posted June 2, 2019 Posted June 2, 2019 It requires Emby Server 4.2+, which is currently only in beta.
HediSIX 51 Posted July 28, 2019 Author Posted July 28, 2019 Hi luke, I have installed the new 4.2.0.40 release and given it another try but I can't seen the difference... The Auto organise plugin is in version 1.5.1
Luke 42083 Posted July 28, 2019 Posted July 28, 2019 It uses the language setting of the library that you're organizing into.
